![]() The Women on Missions of North Topsail Shores Baptist Church wish to team up with Food Lion to benefit the Baptist Children's Homes of North Carolina. YOU CAN HELP TOO!
With just a swipe of your Food Lion MVP card, you can help earn money
that will be donated to the Children's Homes of North Carolina. Simply go to Food Lion's website at www.foodlion.com/myfoodlion/mvpcard.asp and link your card to The Children's Homes of NC. If you should want or need any other information, please see Jackie Blair LIFEBOXESA LIFE BOX will mean the world to the soldier or Marine who opens it because they will know someone half a world away cared enough to show their appreciation.
Three ways to participate: Fill a LIFE BOX yourself. Fill a LIFE BOX with friends. Bring items for the LIFE BOX. The LIFE BOXES are in the atrium along with names and addresses of Soldiers and Marines.
What goes in a LIFE BOX?
Some Suggestions: Chapstick, Sunscreen, Powerade, Gatorade, Juices, Beef Jerky, Granola/Nutrigrain Bars, Power/Protein Bars, Multivitamins, Aveeno Lotion, Skin Lotion, Carbiners, Work Socks, Current Sports magazines, Christian Magazines & books, Homemade treats (that will not melt)…
Go the Second Mile:
Adopt a soldier to write to, who is not getting any mail from home, and let him/her know that people back here appreciate the sacrifice and are praying for him/her.
A Special Need: The USO has provide some units with a video camera and small DVDs so the troops with small children back home can send home DVDs of them reading a book to their children. If you have short children’s books that the soldiers could read and then mail home to their children with the DVD, bring them and we will send them to Russell Prince to be used for this ministry.
